RAY H. CAMERON, M.D., PhD.

Ray H. Cameron, MD, PhD received his undergraduate training at Northern Michigan University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1977. He attended graduate school at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and the Medical College of Wisconsin, receiving his PhD in Anatomy in 1982. Upon receiving his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1984, he completed his residency at Duke University Medical Center. He is board certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and is fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.

As a specialist in Otolaryngology, Dr. Cameron treats medical conditions of the ears, nose and throat. He has also included in his practice the testing and treatment of inhalant allergies. 40% of Dr. Cameron's practice deals with children's health concerns relating to Otolaryngology. Dr. Cameron's specialty also includes head and neck surgery and facial plastic surgery.

Dr. Cameron has been a member of the medical staff at Dickinson Health Care System since April of 1989. He has served as chairman of the Credentials Committee and served a 2-year term as Chief of Staff, and is active on the DCH Hospital Board. He is a popular community speaker and gives presentations on sinus problems, hearing loss, and tonsils and adenoids. He also enjoys visiting area schools to give presentations to the students and has been a guest on Northern Michigan University's popular Ask the Doctor program.
